SUMMARY SCHEDULE
DAY 1: HA GIANG – BAC SUM PASS – QUAN BA HEAVEN GATE – YEN MINH – VUONG KING PALACE – DONG VAN
- 8 am: Meet your guide and easy rider (option) with general guidance
- 8h30 am: Enjoy local breakfast and head to Bac Sum Pass up to Heaven Gate pass by the twin mountains.
- 12:30 pm: Have lunch, then towards to Dong Van Karst Plateau which is a major geoheritage sight of Vietnam.
There are some stop places on route such as Tham Ma Pass, Chin Khoanh Pass. The landscape is composed of terrace rice fields and limestone rocks
Moon Rocks Viewpoint is another highlight of the day with plenty of incredible limestone karst and black rock landscape
- 4 pm: Visit Hmong King Palace – a historical site showcasing traditional H’mong architecture and culture
- 5:30 pm: Arrive Dong Van in late afternoon, enjoy a local dinner and live music in the old quarter at night. Rest and get ready for another day of adventures.
Sleep at the hotel/homestay in the central of old quarter in Dong Van
DAY 2: DONG VAN – LUNG CU – SKY PATH (TREKKING) – MA PI LENG PASS – NHO QUE – MEO VAC
- 8am: Get breakfast and coffee to be ready for another day
- 8:30am head to the Lung Cu flagpole – on the top of Long Son (dragon mountain) right above the ancient village Lo Lo Chai. Get to know about the historical stories associated with Lung Cu ever since
Then, you may take a chance to do hiking that leads us to the Death cliff and conquer panoramic views from over 1200 meters high
Another highlight of the day is Nho Que river with breathtaking views and the Tu San Canyon – the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. A boat ride offers an unforgettable way to explore these natural wonders
End the day at Pa Vi village around 5:30pm, take a rest after a long day
Savor a dinner featuring delicious local dishes from locals.
DAY 3: MEO VAC – ME PIA – PAC BO
The journey begins at 8:30am after breakfast in Pa Vi village, heading directly to Me Pia pass also known as “14-floor pass”. You can hike up about 1km to the observation point to admire breathtaking views of the rugged mountains, deep valleys and lush greenery.
After admiring the pass, stop at Bao Lac for lunch before continuing to the Pac Bo relic site. The day concludes with an overnight stay at a homestay near Pac Bo, marking a transition from Ha Giang to Cao Bang while enjoying the natural beauty and iconic landmarks along the way.
DAY 4: PAC BO – LE NIN STREAM – BAN GIOC – NGUOM NGAO
After getting a break at 8am, we continue to Le Nin steam, Pac Bo cave with crystal-clear stream flows gently through a lush green landscape. Le Nin stream and Pac Bo cave provide both a serene retreat into nature and a profound connection to Vietnam’s history
At 12pm, stop at Cao Bang for lunch
Visit Ban Gioc waterfall lies on the Quay Son river at the border between Vietnam and China, making it the fourth-largest transnational waterfall in the world. This wonder is a must-visit destination for its awe-inspiring beauty, tranquil ambiance, and cultural richness.
The last stop is Nguom Ngao cave about 3km from Ban Gioc waterfall – means “tiger” in the Tay language and still remains the wild elegance created by geological tectonics
Check-in and unwind in the cozy homestay, end your day with a delightful dinner. Share stories with team and enjoy the last night of the trip
DAY 5: BAN GIOC – ANGEL EYE MOUNTAIN – CAO BANG CITY – HA NOI
Begin your day with a breakfast at a homestay, soak in the peaceful morning vibe as you gear up for the final leg of your trip
Commute to visit the remarkable Ange Eye mountain, known for its unique circular hole at the summit. Enjoy panoramic views of the karst landscape, engage in seasonal activities such as kayaking or trekking, capturing unforgettable moments
Riding through the lush green valleys and dramatic limestone formations, arrive in Cao Bang city by noon, have a lunch at local restaurant before getting back to Ha Noi
After lunch, embark on your return journey to Ha Noi. Relax and reflect on your adventure as you travel through the picturesque countryside. Arrive in Ha Noi around 7:30pm marking the end of your memorable adventure.
